Digital Scriptorium is a database of aggregated metadata about premodern manuscripts in American collections, intended to unite scattered records from many institutions into a national platform for teaching and scholarly research. Please know that each institution owns and manages its own records, so not all records include the same level of information. Each institution is responsible for maintaining their records and for the information they are able to contribute to DS.

With the development of Digital Scriptorium 2.0 as linked data, we will be working on creating help menus and tutorials for searching and browsing, as well as more advanced queries of linked data through SPARQL.

Please check back for more information as the Digital Scriptorium 2.0 redevelopment continues.
