Beinecke MS 301 | Description: ff. ii + 192 + iv - Sixteenth century. Original sewing on four tawed, single cords laced to the inside of paste boards. The edges are lavender and the endbands sewn on small, tawed skin cores which are glued to the outside of the boards. The spine is rounded and backed and lined with parchment between sewing supports. Covered in yellow/brown leather, flesh side out, blind-tooled. Bound in the same bindery and probably by the same binder as MS 272. - Purchased from C. A. Stonehill with funds from the Jacob Ziskind Charitable Trust (MS 31) in 1957. - Shailor, B.
