Notes:-Manuscript on parchment (thick, dark) of Gregory Nazianzen, Sermons. Composed of two separate sections. Part I: ff. 1-18; Part II: ff. 19-303 (including 183 bis). Part I was apparently added to the beginning of the codex to complete the series of sermons and to furnish a table of contents (f. 1).

Script: Part I: Written by a single copyist (Scribe 1) in a large, bold hand. Part II: The writing of Scribe 2, who was responsible for the remainder of the text, is delicate and somewhat smaller than that of Scribe 1.
Notes: Part I: The entire table of contents (including headpiece and title) is in red. Title, headpiece, and incipit on ff. 2r and 4v, in red; many simple initials, 5- to 2-line, throughout text. Part II: The style of decoration is similar to that at the beginning of the manuscript, but many of the initials and letters in headings are characterized by discus-shaped protruberances on the shafts. Folio 1 has been severely trimmed. Binding: Nineteenth century. Diced brown calf, gold-tooled.
