XVII, in brown calf, gilt, with the armorial stamp on both covers, "F.I.A.T., Carolus de Castellan, 1663" as legend around the arms, surmounted by a crown and an abbot's miter and crozier; red edges. - Yves du Fou, chevalier and capitaine de Lezigney (mentioned in Paris, BN fr. 193); Madelene de Monpesat, s. XVI; ab. Charles de Castellan (d. 1677); obtained, March 1925, from Edouard Champion of Paris by Acton Griscom (b. 1891); his gift, May 1925. - De Ricci, p. 1268.
